Antogen Opens Oklahoma City Laboratory to Help Scale Biopharma Services

Antogen, a biotechnology company developing next-generation personalized diagnostics through immunopeptidomics, announced a new laboratory opening in Oklahoma City.

The lab, according to the company, is fully operational and now processing customer samples.

Immunopeptidomics can be explained as analyzing peptides displayed by human leukocyte antigen, or HLA, molecules. The purpose of this is to reveal how cells sample and present proteins to the immune system for inspection.

With this, Antogen expands its laboratory operations beyond the state of California. The company says it was attracted by Oklahoma City’s business-friendly environment, scientific talent, and competitive operating costs. Moreover, Antogen says, the region boasts a growing biotechnology ecosystem.

This milestone allows Antogen to establish infrastructure to scale its biopharma services, plus advance development of a proprietary diagnostics platform.

Antogen Founder and CEO Zachary Antovich said the lab opening marks a transition “from developing initial capabilities to commercial execution.”

“We now have the infrastructure to expand our biopharma services while advancing a new generation of personalized diagnostics,” Antovich said. “We are moving quickly, and Oklahoma City offers an excellent launch pad for this next phase of growth.”

Christy Gillenwater, President & CEO, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, applauded the move.
